Samsung has updated the latest variant of the Galaxy S20 FE for Android 13. On Thursday (9), the South Korean brand made available the new version of the operating system with the One UI 5 for the edition of the mobile phone with 4G and Snapdragon processor. With this release, the manufacturer no longer has any galaxy s family phones to be upgraded to the successor to Android 12.

The Galaxy S20 FE 4G with Snapdragon has been upgraded to Android 13.

“Going to warn you that came out Android 13 with one UI 5 for the S20 FE 4G”, said in the early hours of Thursday (9).

According to the screenshot published in the topic, the package weighs about 2 GB and brings the December 2022 security patch. The same is reported by a Samsung Members participant, who received the update on the same day.

Other users celebrated the availability of Android 13 for the Galaxy S20 FE 4G.

“It’s here,” celebrated one person the same day. “Guys, it’s out,” said another cell phone owner.

“Finally, it’s here!” commented another user.

It is noteworthy that the update is valid for units purchased in retail (ZTO).

How to update the Galaxy S20 FE 4G?
Samsung typically issues a notification to let you know that a new version of Android is available. But you can also do a manual check:

Open your phone settings;
Go to “Software Update”;
Tap “Download and update.”
If Android 13 is available, your phone will alert you to do the installation. To do this, simply read the information carefully and then start the procedure.

It took, but it arrived
The update to the Galaxy S20 FE with Snapdragon comes to an end to a saga that began in the last week of December.

At the time, Samsung released the update for both the Galaxy S21 FE and the Galaxy S20 FE. But only the owners of the units with the Exynos chip were able to update the smartphone until then.

This decision caused numerous complaints from owners of the mobile phone, as it was not possible to install Android 13 on models with Snapdragon.

A month later, Samsung began distributing the One UI 5 to the Galaxy S20 FE with Snapdragon. But there was a catch: this time, the upgrade was unique to 5G units.

With today’s debut, the South Korean brand ended the cycle.

Also, why did the update come with the December security fixes? Wasn’t it better to release it with the February 2023 patch, making the phone safer?

Anyway, it is necessary to consider that Samsung updated almost fifty phones and tablets between November 2022 and February 2023. Meanwhile, there are other brands that have not released Android 13 for any mobile
