LG Class Official: LG announces its first 100% metal smartphone

by Jerry

Following in Samsung's footsteps with its A-Series, LG has just officially announced its very first metal smartphone, the LG Class. A few days ago, the Korean manufacturer was teasing about the announcement of a new product for September 21. Today, the latter is official and comes to position itself as a direct competitor of the Galaxy A5 announced almost a year ago.

The LG Class is official.

The LG Class features premium design and entry-level configuration, including a 5-inch 720p HD-definition display and a 64 Bit Snapdragon 410 quad core processor with 2GB of RAM. Other features include a 13-megapixel photo sensor, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a 2050 mAh battery, probably a little light capacity. The set is contained in a thickness of 7.4 mm.

It should be noted that the proposed 16GB of expandable storage is expandable by adding a micro SD card. On a model offering a unibody hull, it is always appreciable and especially more and more rare.

The LG Class is expected on the Korean market at a price of 399,300 Wons or the equivalent of 300 euros. It's a bit expensive for an entry-level smartphone but with this type of product, you also pay for the design. Like Samsung, LG seems determined to offer metal on intermediate models probably in order to integrate it into its next high-end. Probably a way to test the public reaction.
