Barcelona's Mobile World Congress 2016 still trembles with the announcement of the LG G5 and its dual 16-megapixel, 8-megapixel wide-angle photo sensor. But more than promises, it's time to check whether the quality is really present behind this new technology.

LG made the show on the MWC 2016 by presenting its LG G5, whose modular design still causes excited whispers on the show. By being able to accommodate a large number of accessories to increase its capabilities, it effectively easily piques the curiosity of the press and consumers.

Its broad focus on photography, which analysts predict will help sell 10 million LG G5, with its dual rear sensor featuring a first 16-megapixel sensor and a second 8-megapixel wide-angle 135-degree, should guarantee a very honest shot quality. But nothing is better than being able to test it yourself.

That's why our colleagues at Ausdroid managed to convince LG to let them go for a few minutes with the phone, in order to take some pictures inside and outside the living room, and to demonstrate its capabilities. The results are very encouraging:

These first 3 photos allow us to appreciate the HDR mode and the indoor quality of the LG G5, which gets away with no real visible problems: the colors are respected, the subjects are well taken without a blurring effect due to their movement is recorded by the device.

Here we can appreciate the macro mode of the phone, which even when our colleagues have the free way is tested on the details of the flowers as for the promotional photos. The photos are well detailed, the plans well respected, and the colors very correct.

These photos allow us this time to appreciate the transition from the 16-megapixel sensor to the 8-megapixel wide-anglesensor. Special mention to the HDR also present on the first wide-angle photo of the pool. Strangely, the wide angle sensor here seems to fare much better with more marked and clear colors.

The LG G5 seems really set to attract photophone enthusiasts, especially since with its LG Cam Plus accessory it turns into a real little digital camera. It should be noted that even though these photos were taken by colleagues and in real conditions, such a beautiful day in Barcelona necessarily makes it much better than everyday life.

But LG warns that the LG G5 demo photo software at Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona is not finalized: it could be much more efficient by the time the LG G5 is released in April at 699 euros.
