As promised, Razer introduces a little more Turret, its keyboard/mouse combo specially designed for Xbox One consoles at CES 2019. A promotional video released by the brand allows us to discover the duo of accessories in action. The list of compatible games has also been updated. 7 new titles are added to the 23 originally announced by Microsoft.
It was an old promise made by Microsoft to the players. Redmond's firm finally got it. In September 2018, it announced the availability of keyboard/mouse support on Xbox One consoles. She took the opportunity to announce a partnership with Razer who was tasked with designing the first specially created accessories for Xbox One consoles. A few weeks later, we discovered the first image of the Razer combo that was to have a more complete presentation at CES 2019 in Las Vegas, it's now a thing to do.
CES 2019: Razer unveils video of his keyboard-mouse combo before release in March
The Razer Turret keyboard and mouse in themselves don't have much different from the classic gamer accessories of the genre. The keyboard, however, is distinguished by its special "Xbox" button, which is placed at the bottom, right, right next to the left directional key. And like most Razer accessories, this keyboard is offering Chroma backlight technology with its 16 million colors. This will be supported by another technology signed Microsoft: "Xbox Dynamic Lighting" which is supposed to enhance immersion in games.
Speaking of games, not all titles that can play on Xbox One are compatible with keyboards and mice. Developers are encouraged to ensure the compatibility of their games. At the time of the announcement, Microsoft had indicated that 15 titles were supported, including Fortnite. PUBG, on the other hand, was not on the list.
The Battle Royale, however, appears in Razer's updated list, which contains exactly the following titles:
- Gears of War 5
- Gears Tactics
- PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds
- Roblox
- Sea of Thieves
- The Sims 4
- Surviving Mars
In another press release, Razer corrects the list of 7 additional games. Those wearing an asterisk in front of their name are finally to be removed. What's the reason? The brand explains that it is in contact with some publishers who have not yet given their consent for the announcement of compatibility. So it's all about timing. These games would therefore be well planned to be compatible.
Finally, let's note that the Keyboard/Mouse combo of the Xbox One will be available next March for €250.
