Nubia has just lifted the veil on the Red Magic 5G, a new gaming smartphone with an amazing technical sheet. It stands out thanks to its 144 Hz AMOLED screen and a SoC Snapdragon 865 backed by 16GB of RAM. Release date, price, fact sheet… We tell you all about Nubia's new flagship.
After the incredible Z20 with double screen or the Nubia X without a selfie camera, Nubia continues in the bidding. On March 12, the Chinese brand, a subsidiary of ZTE, introduced a new high-flying gaming smartphone, the Red Magic 5G.

?What technical sheet for the Nubia Red Magic 5G?
The Red Magic 5G is covered with un full HD AMOLED display. The slab offers a refresh rate of 144 Hz, which promises an even smoother display than the Galaxy S20's 120 Hz display, for example. Like Asus on the ROG Phone or Xiaomi on the latest Black Shark, Nubia has placed physical keys dedicated to mobile gaming on the slices. In the same vein, the firm has integrated a 4D vibration system to further immerse the player.
5G compatible, the gaming smartphone is powered by the SoC Snapdragon 865 coupled with 8, 12 or 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Thanks to this solid technical record, the Nubia Red Magic 5G breaks all records on AnTuTu. To avoid overheating in the event of a long game, the firm relies on proprietary cooling technology consisting of a layer of graphene, aluminum and an oil pipeline to circulate liquid.
The battery life is entrusted to a 4500 mAh battery compatible with the 55W fast charge. Nubia promises a 56% gain in battery life in 15 minutes of charging. On the photography side, Nubia relies on a triple photo sensor consisting of a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 main module,a second 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Finally, the smartphone has a jack socket and a USB-C port.
?What price and release date?
In China, the Red Magic 5G is sold at the starting price of 3,799 yuan, or about 485 euros,for the version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For the 16GB ram variant and 256GB of internal storage, you have to pay 4,999 yuan, about 640 euros.
