Two new launch titles for the PlayStation 5 are about to be announced. According to Moore's Law Is Dead's YouTube channel, the first would mark "the return of an old and huge PlayStation franchise." Would the Silent Hill saga make a comeback? And in the process, a new game God of War would also be presented, with a release scheduled for 2021!
A new game not currently announced is about to be unveiled on PlayStation 5, according to the YouTube channel Moore's Law Is Dead, which recently obtained new information about what appears to be "the return of an old and huge PlayStation franchise". Is the Silent Hill horror game franchise back on PlayStation 5, after the tragic abandonment of Silent Hills and its infamous but memorable P.T demo in 2015?
And that's not all, since another information would also have leaked, on the sidelines of the Xbox Game Showcase event. The release of a brand new God of War is scheduled for 2021! Pending a real confirmation, this information is of course to be taken with tweezers.
God of War and Silent Hill could soon make their comeback
A new installment of God of War could well be presented in the coming weeks on PS5. According to the source mentioned above, Mark Cerny is reportedly working in person on a "mystery game", as yet un announced. The former president of Universal Interactive Studio is an almost famous character in the video game world, especially at PlayStation. He is best known for his work as a design consultant on many Sony titles, such as God of War III, Killzone III, The Last Guardian and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. He had also contributed to the development of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, on Mega Drive, as well as as a consultant and even developer for some Naughty Dog games, such as Crash Bandicoot or Jak and Daxter. More recently, he was involved in the technical production of Death Stranding.
Other information, and not least: a new episode of Silent Hill on PS5 could also be announced soon. Many elements disseminated on the web in recent months lead in any case to this idea: the master of horror mangaka and in particular the style Ero guro nansensu, Suehiro Maruo, had published last April images of a meeting at Konami. The subject of this meeting? It's Silent Hill! On Twitter, the developer responding under the nickname Dusk Golem had also leaked in May about the return of an old PlayStation franchise, which would be unveiled at the launch of the PlayStation 5.
Anyway, we will soon be fixed, because a new State of Play would be planned for August 6th.
