PS5: Sony holds a new conference on September 16, 2020 at 10 p.m.

Sony announces a new conference dedicated to the PS5 on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. During this new speech, the Japanese firm will discuss some of the games available at the launch of the console. Sony is also expected to respond to Microsoft by unveiling the price and release date of the Playstation 5.

"We want to give you a new look at the great games that will be available with the PS5 at launch (and later!)" Explains Sony in a post on the PlayStation Blog. This is the second time Sony has organized an online event to highlight the games offered at the launch of the PS5. "Our next digital event will last about 40 minutes and will give you information about the latest titles from Worldwide Studios and our internationally renowned development partners," the Japanese group said, without revealing further details about the conference's schedule.

What should we expect from the PS5 conference on Wednesday 16 September 2020?

At the event, Sony is expected to finally lift the lid on the price and release date of the PS5. A few days ago, its rival Microsoft drew the first by revealing the price and launch date of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The two next gen consoles will be available worldwide on November 10, 2020 at a price ranging from 299 euros to 499 euros. So it's high time Sony unveiled its game.

According to the latest leaks, the PS5 would hit the market as early as November 19, 2020. On the price side, Sony's consoles would be much more expensive than Xboxes. The latest rumors are abouta price of 499 euros for the PS5 Digital Edition. For its part, the PS5 with disc player could go up to 599 euros. We should know more as early as Wednesday, September 16 at 10 p.m. Paris time. The conference will be broadcast on Twitch and YouTube.
