According to the DownDetector website, which allows users to report a breakdown, Xbox Live has been experiencing serious connection problems since 6 a.m. Players are unable to connect to servers or play online. Some also report problems accessing the Store. For the time being, the outage mainly affects the United States. At around 7:45 a.m., however, testimonials from European users began to appear.

The outage creates error messages on games such as Fortnite, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, or Call of Duty: WWII on console. On Windows 10, the majority of the reported problems relate to State of Decay 2 and Sea of Thieves. At this time, it is not known whether this is a widespread outage.
