Announced last week, the LG G4 is already in the hands of the American media, including Phonearena which has just submitted the device to the main benchmark tools: AnTuTu, Vellamo, Sunspider, GFXBench, Basemark and Geekbench. The opportunity to better evaluate its performance against its main competitors such as the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge and the HTC One M9 but also the Nexus 6, Galaxy Note and Motorola Droid Turbo, all three equipped with a Snapdragon 805 processor.
- On the same subject: the Snapdragon 808 of the LG G4 outperforms the Snapdragon 810
The LG G4 competes 500.
On these latest benchmarks, the LG G4's Snapdragon 808 processor measures its performance to the Exynos 7420, Snapdragon 810, Snapdragon 805 and Snapdragon 801 (LG G3, HTC One M8). The opportunity to better assess its power in the face of current competition but also compared to previous models like the Snapdragon 801 found on last year's high-end, such as the LG G3, or the 805
As you can see, the results are far from alarming and the G4 is often in the first but most of the time, it is found either between the Snapdragon 801 and the Snapdragon 805 or slightly above it. Knowing that the Snapdragon 808 is both a newer processor, equipped with six cores and based on a set of 64 Bit instructions, we would rather have imagined seeing it arrive in front of the 805 on all tests.
With a 64 Bit hexa-core processor, it's clear that LG G4 will offer both good performance and excellent fluidity, but we shouldn't expect too much from it in terms of games and graphics, its Adreno 418 GPU remaining limited compared to the Adreno 430 of the Snapdragon 810. This trend is the same as that observed on the LG G4's preliminary benchmarks.
