The LG G5 is becoming more and more evident every day. Last week, we had confirmation of the date of its formalization. Today, the Korean firm officially reveals one of the new features of their future flagship: an "Always ON" mode at the screen level.
We have known since last week that the LG G5 will be presented on 21 February in Barcelona, the eve of the MWC which will be held from 22 to 25 February in the same city, which does not leave us to wait very long to get our hands on it.
So we learn today that the G5 will be equipped with an "Always ON", which is a feature for AMOLED screens. It allows you to view notifications by taking control of the phone without touching the screen, while leaving most of it with the pixels off, since the black pixels are not on on this technology.
Its biggest rival, the Galaxy S7 could also be equipped as early as this year, along with its brother, the Galaxy S7 Edge. Remember that it will be launched on the same day as the LG G5, which promises a clash of titans, even if the two phones seem to look more and more like in terms of functionality.
The image that presents us this new feature, allows us to see a preview of the design of the next flagship of the firm, confirming the different renderings that we could observe from the phone some time ago. The time displayed on the screen may well indicate the start time of the Korean company conference.
The LG G5 should therefore be very different from its predecessors, namely the G4 and the G3, since it would be made of metal and offer us a fingerprint scanner, the volume buttons would be moved to one side, a first for the range.
The phone's technical record would be quite impressive, since it features a 5.6-inch QHD screen with resolution 2560×1440, a Snapdragon 820 with Adreno 530, 3 or 4 GB of RAM depending on the versions and a dual rear photo lens of 16 and 8 MPx, among others. It would obviously run Android 6.0 Lollipop, with LG's famous UI overlay.
