The Xbox Game Pass for PC will be announced at E3 2019, announces Phil Spencer, boss of Microsoft's gaming division. It already promises a catalog of more than 100 games available unlimitedly on Windows 10 computers. Information on xCloud and the next generation of Xbox is also expected at the event.
Microsoft promises us that the Xbox Game Pass will land on PC for more than six months, the dream will finally come true. In a blog post, Phil Spencer, the boss of the Xbox branch, confirms that a new official communication on this subject is coming and already gives us some additional information about the service as an aperitif.
Xbox Game Pass: a pc-only subscription?
"The Xbox Game Pass for PC will give players unlimited access to a library of more than 100 high-quality Games on Windows 10,"he says, citing partner studios and publishers such as Bethesda, Deep Silver, Devolver Digital, Paradox Interactive and Sega. He adds that as on Xbox One consoles, players will be entitled to Xbox Game Studios exclusives from the day of release via the subscription plan. This was the case for Forza Horizon 4 in the fall of 2018, for example.

The timing of this announcement is of course not insignificant. Phil Spencer speaks ahead of E3 2019. Microsoft is holding a conference on June 9, where a list of games will be announced that will join the Xbox Game Pass catalogue and the final details of the offer. Phil Spencer seems to imply that some games available only on PC and not on Xbox One could be offered. This coupled with the fact that it talks about "Xbox Game Pass for PC" may suggest that it will be a separate subscription to the console one. In this case, the utopia of an unlimited xbox-PC global subscription would soar. Of course, the information has yet to be confirmed, we are not yet sure of anything.
As a reminder, the Xbox Game Pass is marketed at 9.99 euros per month without commitment with a first test self charged only 1 euro. It gives available a catalog of games to download, it is not (yet) streaming. For cloud gaming, we'll have to wait for xCloud, which will also be at E3. This is likely to be the world's largest video game in Xbox history, as the new generation of consoles is expected to make an appearance. We will not necessarily have the definitive trade names, a release date, a price or the first exclusive games, but at least some elements of the technical sheet, as Sony has already done for the PS5.
