A colorful and customizable Always-On display
At the time of the presentation of the EMUI 10 update, the firm had indeed promised to offer a new Always-On screen on its smartphones. This new screen allows you to choose the color for the clock and the date, add new widgets and program a display style depending on the time of day. The current version of the Always-On screen is in fact confined to the white color and cannot be customized.
To the general surprise, the option was absent from the stable versions of the Android 10 update accompanied by EMUI 10. However, the novelty has been deployed in some beta versions of the firmware. If you are currently using the EMUI 10 beta, it is not impossible that you can already use it. Finally, this new, improved Always-on display will be rolled out in a later update in the first quarter of 2020,says Dr. Wang Chenglu. The option will first be deployed on these 8 smartphones:
- Huawei P30
- Huawei P30 Pro
- Huawei Mate 20
- Huawei Mate 20 Pro
- Huawei Mate 20 X (4G)
- Huawei Mate 20 X (5G)
- Magic Honor 2
- Huawei Nova 5 Pro
In a second phase, Huawei will deploy the new Always-On display on the Huawei P20 Pro. To take advantage of the option, you must be equipped with an AMOLED screen and have installed the EMUI 10 update. We'll tell you more as soon as possible.
