Both consoles will be available on November 19, 2020 in France, priced at 499 euros and 399 euros.
After 40 minutes of conference and revelation, Sony announces without warning that pre-orders are open now! Unsurprisingly, the most impatient players rushed to the sites of French dealers: Boulanger, Darty, Fnac, Cdiscount, Amazon… All were quickly in trouble, with many technical problems to report not to mention stock outages with pull-larigot.

Stocks will be sufficient for launch
Our colleagues took advantage of this interview to ask the boss of Playstation if a shortage of PS5 was to be expected at the launch. According to Jim Ryan, Sony did what was necessary to avoid reliving the chaos of the launch of the PS4 in late 2013, marked by numerous stock outages.
According to him, the stocks of PS5 are more than sufficient and much higher than those of the PS4. Jim Ryan's statements are largely aimed at reassuring consumers after rumours of a possible decline in PS5 production have been published. Indeed, according to our colleagues from the American website Bloomberg, the Japanese company would have difficulty manufacturing the console processor.
Sony immediately denied that it had reduced ps5 production and guaranteed that the goal of manufacturing more than 15 million PS5 by the end of the fiscal year at the end of March 2021 is still in place.
