Security features have also received reinforcements. This is the case of a more elaborate verification process that focuses on facial recognition with the aid of body structure to contain authentication fraud. The system also includes “protection against electronic fraud” to prevent other types of threats.
Xiaomi has also strengthened the integration of its ecosystem. MIUI 13 brings the beta version of Mi Smart Hub, a platform that connects the phone with other devices of the brand. The update also has a tablet-facing interface, known as MIUI 13 Pad, as well as a new font.
Xiaomi has also disclosed which phones and tablets will be upgraded to MIUI 13. The company also announced the new Xiaomi Watch S1 watch and the new Xiaomi Buds 3 wireless headset during the event.
