Huawei has decided to suspend the deployment of the Android 10 update, accompanied by the EMUI 10 overlay, on the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. The manufacturer assures that the firmware will be available for download again by the end of January 2020. In the aftermath, Huawei announced the arrival of the update on the P20 and P20 Pro in Europe in March.
Huawei has temporarily stopped deploying the EMUI 10 update on the Mate 20 Mate 20 Pro, report our colleagues at Huawei Central. "We would like to inform you that the deployment of the stable version of Android 10 / EMUI 10 for Huawei Mate 20 devices is temporarily suspended. Please note that we will resume pushing EMUI 10 by the end of January 2020," Huawei's Indian arm said in a statement.
According to the group, the suspension will allow Huawei engineers to address a series of bugs encountered by users. As a reminder, the manufacturer had launched the deployment of Android 10 on the Chinese Mate 20 in early November. Firmware quickly appeared on European smartphones.
At this time, it is not known whether all countries are affected by this pause. It is not impossible that some users will continue to be able to install the update. This is not the first time Huawei has suspended the deployment of firmware. A few days ago, the firm stopped offering Android 10 on the Honor 20 and Honor View 20. Moreover, the manufacturer is currently deploying EMUI 10 on all other compatible devices, whether in China or internationally.
