The Nintendo Switch and its eShop service experienced a worldwide outage on Christmas Day. Many users have been denied access to the game shop. An unfortunate timing since many of them had just received the console for Christmas and they did not have to have a very good impression with this first cuckoo. The situation seems to have since returned to normal.
A global outage hit the eShop, Nintendo'sonline gaming store, on December 25, 2017. This made it impossible for Switch owners to purchase new games for the duration of the problem. A very unfortunate event for all those who received the console as a Christmas gift and who could not try it the same day.

Like the last major consoles, the Switch offers an online store where it is possible to buy games in dematerialized. A feature increasingly popular with consumers, less and less attached to the hardware format.
