The Huawei P40 Pro has just been voted king of smartphone photography by DxOMark. Thanks to its quadruple photo sensor, the smartphone has just ejected the Find X2 Pro and Mi 10 Pro from the first place. The flagship even affords itself the luxury of taking the lead on the podium dedicated to the best selfies.
The Huawei P40 Pro receives an overall rating of 128 at DxOMark. In detail, the smartphone inherits an impressive score of 140 in photography and 105 in video. "This is the best or best device we've tested to date in almost every category," DxOMark announced in the conclusion of its test.

The P40 Pro surpasses Oppo's Find X2 Pro and Xiaomi's Mi 10 Pro
In detail, the laboratory praises the smartphone's fast and precise autofocus, the treatment of portrait mode bokeh, the "impressive" x5 optical zoom, precise exposure and an excellent level of detail. In low light conditions, the shots are better "than for any other device we tested,"the test says. With this dithyrambique welcome, the P40 Pro surpasses Oppo's Find X2 Pro and the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, the two previous kings of photography.
The P40 Pro's camera, however successful, is not without its flaws. DxOMark regrets for example a "sometimes imprecise color rendering", a "slight occasional underexposment", a lack of detail on the faces and the somewhat limited field of vision of the ultra wide angle module.
On the video side, the smartphone does not demerit. DxOMark particularly enjoyed the efficient image stabilization,the wide dynamic range and the right texture/noise balance. The smartphone, on the other hand, sins by a small difference in sharpness in the recorded images.
Finally, the Huawei P40 Pro also stands out in the ranking dedicated to selfies thanks to its dual front photo sensor. In this area too, the smartphone climbs directly to the top of the rankings. With a score of 103, it excludes Huawei's Nova 6 5G, Samsung's Galaxy Note 10-5G and Asus' Zenfone 6. According to DxO, the P40 Pro allows you to take excellent selfies in all conditions.
