The Galaxy Z Flip, the foldable clamshell smartphone, switches to One UI 2.5. A few days after the Galaxy S20, Samsung has just launched the rollout of the update on its smartphone with foldable screen. We'll tell you how to install the firmware as soon as it's available on your device.
A few days ago, Samsung rolled out the One UI 2.5 update on the Galaxy S20, S20 and S20 Ultra in the wake of the release of the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra on the market. Today, the South Korean manufacturer offers the update on the Galaxy Z Flip, report our colleagues from SamMobile.

How do I install the One UI 2.5 update on the Galaxy Z Flip?
Major new features of the update include, for example, the compatibility of Android 10's gesture navigation with alternative app launchers and enhanced Pro video mode. This mode allows audio to be recorded via external microphones and videos in 21:9 format. It is also possible to use Bitmoji stickers with the Always On screen.
As a reminder, the update is limited to the 4G LTE version of the Galaxy Z Flip. The 5G version of the clamshell smartphone, launched a few weeks ago, is originally running under One UI 2.5. In detail, the update weighs 1157 MB. To check if One UI 2.5 is already available on your foldable phone, you are encouraged to follow the maneuver below.
- Visit the Settings menu
- Tap About the Device
- Select Now Software Update
- If available, choose Launch update and follow the instructions provided by your Galaxy Z Flip
It is currently being deployed in the United States. Given the manufacturer's habits, we can expect the firmware to be offered in Europe, and especially in France, in the coming days. Have you ever been able to install the update? We are waiting for your opinion in the comments.
