As its name suggests, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE is not Samsung’s most advanced tablet, but welcomes good features from the more powerful brother. Designed for those who need an Android tablet and who are valuing the cost-benefit in research, this model proves interesting by bringing large screen 12.4 inches, Pen S pen and giant battery of 10,090 mAh.

On Samsung’s website, the S7 FE is found for R $ 3.999 at the time of publication of this review, but retail charges up to R $ 1 thousand less. Does it make sense even in 2022? I spent a week with Samsung’s mid-range tablet and share the whole experience below.

The S7 FE Tab was provided by Samsung on loan and will be returned to the company after testing. For more information, visit tecnoblog.net/etica.
The Galaxy Tab S7 FE may even be an intermediate tablet, but its design is top of the line. This shows that the Fan Edition division is aligned with the proposal: to provide premium experience with caveats not to compete with flagships. So it is with the Galaxy S21 FE, so it is with the S7 FE, a tablet all built in aluminum and with matte texture, which enhances the feeling of refined product.
Speaking of dimensions, the electronics is very large and heavy, are 608 grams, and even so I would not recommend it for children. For the day-to-day business, the S7 FE can handle and can be easily transported in the backpack or even in the bag. Sold separately, there is an exclusive cover for him that already brings space to house the S Pen.
Speaking of the pen, the item can be magnetically attached to the side, near the buttons, or to the rear, near the camera. Throughout the test, the S Pen didn’t worry me because it really gets really firm on the device. Even so, I advise taking care and always make sure the accessory is fastened properly.
Just like the latest iPads, Samsung’s gadget doesn’t provide many physical connections —it only has the USB-C port. The side also received a hybrid drawer, which supports a microSD card of up to 1 TB and an operator chip. But it is important to know that the S7 FE operates only on the 4G network.

Screen is not AMOLED, but features quality (+ S Pen)
We know that Samsung has not saved on the look and the first “low” of the tablet is on the dashboard. The screen present here is tft type with WQXGA resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels). Although it is simpler compared to other technologies, it is wrong who thinks that the device has a bad image. Of course, it won’t have the deep black or the beautiful contrasts of the AMOLED, but its configuration is enough for anyone who doesn’t care about latest technologies.
One note: if you’re keeping an eye on the S7 because you imagine it’s betting on a better display, take it easy. Unfortunately, not even this version, more complete, won the beloved Super AMOLED, found only in the Tab S7 Plus. And Samsung’s decision, it is worth mentioning, represents a setback because the Tab S6, previous generation, was equipped with the best panel.
With the S7 FE, they are 12.4 inches, ideal for the consumption of movies and games. For more detailed works, such as photo editing and illustrations, it will not provide the best usability possible, but gives an account for the basics. I, who am not image editor, could have a satisfying experience editing some photographs in Lightroom with the help of S Pen.
