Samsung presented news for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 on Wednesday (20). In addition to the new watchfaces and the option to customize it at the time of purchase by Bespoke Studio, the smart watch and Galaxy Buds 2 have won a new edition made in partnership with Maison Kitsuné. The South Korean brand also announced the Galaxy Z Flip 3 Bespoke Edition in the second part of the Galaxy Unpacked.
The event focused on new options for Samsung products to be even more customizable. Among the novelties is Bespoke Studio, a platform that offers options to customize the look of the company’s gadgets through the South Korean brand’s website. This is the case with the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.
The new option takes us back to the times of Moto Maker, Motorola’s old platform for customizing smartphones, such as the 3rd generation Moto G. In addition to choosing the color of the box, consumers can also select the shades that will adorn the bracelets. There are also options to choose the style and material of the bracelets.
Samsung also introduced four new watchfaces to Galaxy Watch 4: Info Brick, Basic Dashboard, Weather Center and Live Wallpaper. In addition, there are improvements in the themes My Photo+, for the inclusion of GIFs, and Animals, to add up to four complications to present more information about the background of pets.
Samsung also introduced new options for its gadgets in partnership with Maison Kitsuné. This is the case of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Maison Kitsuné Edition, which takes the brand’s fox to the look, interface and even the watch charger. The Galaxy Buds 2 also won a custom version by the brand.
Brand details can also be taken to the mobile phone. The devices bring a card that, when read via NFC, customizes the Android interface with wallpapers, icons and the like with the visual language of the brand. Sales of the new editions of the watch and handset begin on Wednesday (20) in “selected markets”.
The watches also received other features. According to the manufacturer, users can now adjust the sensitivity of the Galaxy Watch 4 so that the watch is able to detect falls “even when you’re still”. You can also set up an emergency notification that will be sent to up to four contacts.
In addition, eligible Samsung watch owners can count on a free Strava subscription for 60 days. The novelty is valid for galaxy watch, watch active, watch active 2, watch 3, watch 4 and watch 4 classic. The new watches have also gained new gesture controls.
“Some users may not be eligible for this test if they previously signed up for two or more Strava test offers, or if they have been subscribers in the last six months,” they warned. “The availability of the Strava service varies by market.”
The update will begin to be released on Wednesday (20). “Availability may vary by market or carrier,” they said. “The update will initially be available in the Bluetooth versions of the Galaxy Watch 4 series and will be implemented in the LTE versions shortly thereafter.”
