The Huawei P40 is revealed in official renderings. Unsurprisingly, the smartphone is enhanced with a Galaxy S10-style hole screen and equipped with a triple rear photo sensor designed in partnership with Leica. Unlike the Mate 30 Pro, the flagship is covered with a flat screen rather than curved.
This Wednesday, January 15, 2020, our colleagues from 91Mobiles released the first official images of Huawei's P40. These images show the complete design of the standard version of the smartphone. The media claims to have obtained these reports from industry sources. Given the impressive history of leaks from the site, we can rely on these images. They also corroborate most of the previous information that appeared on the web, including renderings developed by OnLeaks.
Triple Leica photo sensor and flat screen hole
On the front of the device is an AMOLED screen marked by a large hole in the left corner. This cavity obviously contains a dual front photo sensor. This design is reminiscent of the Galaxy S10's double punch. Moreover, we can guess particularly thin borders. As always, the lower edge, the famous chin, is thicker. Huawei is visibly banking on a flat slab. On this side, the P40 stands out from the Mate 30 Pro released a few months ago. The curved screen would therefore be reserved for the Pro version of the P40.

On the back is Leica's triple photo sensor. Like Samsung with its Galaxy S20, Huawei has chosen to arrange the camera sensors (and LED flash) in a rectangular block. By zooming in on this rendering, we discover the opening of the sensors: f/1.9 and f/2.4. As advertised, the standard P40 does not have a quadruple photo sensor. For its part, the Huawei P40 Pro would have a five-fold rear photo sensor. We will know more about the P40s in March 2020 at the presentation in Paris.
