After Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro remain exceptional but handicapped by the absence of Google services, Huawei signs and persists with the P40 and P40 Pro. These flagships will certainly share the same handicap, but will try to make it forget thanks to an improved and more varied App Gallery application market, not to mention a seductive photo offer.

Indeed, both devices should carry a triple and a fivefold photo sensor respectively. For the time being, their official presentation is still set for March 2020 at an event dedicated to Paris. In the meantime, rumors and leaks are rife. On January 15, 2019, for example, the 91Mobiles website unveiled the first official images of the P40. The opportunity to observe in detail the AMOLED screen and its punch in the left corner, and to confirm the presence of a triple sensor signed Leica on the back side.

However, it turns out that 91Mobiles still had some under the elbow, since the site today unveils the official colors of the two smartphones. The information comes from a reliable source close to Huawei and the industry, without further details. There are five colours among:

  • Black
  • Blush Gold
  • Silver Frost
  • Deep Sea Blue
  • Ice White

Behind these beautiful poetic appellations are black, gold, silver grey, dark blue and glacier white. For the moment it is impossible to know whether these colours will all be offered on the French market or if only two or three will be preferred. As a reminder, one of the most persistent and exciting rumors about the P40 was the supposed presence of a graphene battery.

This information had caused a lot of noise, and which resulted in a mea culpa from the manufacturer. Indeed, it all started with a tweet from the official Twitter account of Huawei France, which confirmed the presence of a graphene battery. For their part, several influential leakers such as IceUniverse had seriously questioned this assertion. After several days of confusion, Huawei has officially denied this, arguing that Huawei France has been incorrectly published.
